Our head office in Bendigo, Victoria, was the first 5-star Green Star Building in regional Australia. It:
- uses half the energy usage of a typical office building of its size
- made a 50% reduction in the use of potable water
- has a water treatment plant that recycles 20,000 litres of wastewater per day
- makes use of recycled water to service all toilets throughout the building, saving almost 4.5 million litres of drinking water each year
- is one of the first large-scale applications of under-floor displacement air conditioning in Australia. Using considerably less energy, this system provides fresh, clean air at low pressure with individually controlled vents at workstations
- uses solar panels to heat water
- has automated lights that dim or turn off with natural light levels
Outside of Bendigo, we're establishing a 6-star building standard, making sure our current spaces are upgraded where we can and that any new locations meet our high environmental standards. A 6-star rating is reserved for highly efficient buildings, and are certified by the Green Building Council of Australia. We're making sure our offices are harnessing solar and renewable energy (and no gas), and have EV charging stations to support our green initiatives.
We're also preventing waste by working with partners like St Vincents Men's Shelter in Adelaide, Lifeline Loddon Mallee, Foodshare and more, to by donating surplus furniture and other equipment, with 5.3t surplus items diverted from landfill so far.

We do this by working to hold ourselves to the same standards we expect from others, across all financial and products services we offer, in our operations and across our value chain, as well as how we engage with and support our stakeholders.

Financial abuse can happen to anyone, no matter how old or how much money they have. Our team are experts in the many different types of financial abuse and passionate about helping those affected.

Vulnerable customer support:
We genuinely care about all our customers, and we know that sometimes asking for financial aid comes from a place of vulnerability. We’re dedicated to providing extra care when our vulnerable customers need it most - through face-to-face support, telephone outreach or referrals to our comprehensive list of external support agencies.
