It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.
We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.
Ready to shape the future of banking? Join Bendigo Bank as our new Senior Manager Third Party Partner Governance!
Bendigo Bank's Third Party Banking business unit (part of the Consumer Banking Division) is a critical business driver, generating one-third of the Group’s total revenue. Operating in an environment where over 80% of Australians secure home loans through mortgage brokers, the division competes by designing products and experiences tailored specifically for brokers and their customers.
As a key member of the Third Party Banking Leadership Team, you will hold a critical role in safeguarding our business while enabling sustainable growth. You will be the champion of trust, transparency, and compliance, ensuring our third-party partnerships and material service providers operate at the highest standards.
In this dynamic and high-impact role, you’ll make your mark by:
- Managing Third Party Banking’s material service providers and assurance programs.
- Designing, imbedding and maintaining robust governance frameworks for third parties, defining clear decision, escalation, and reporting paths.
- Leading and executing compliance and assurance programs across all third parties.
- Providing high-impact operational support and thought leadership directly to the General Manager, ensuring the business consistently delivers all internal, external, and contractual requirements at a high standard.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at both a strategic and tactical level.
What you’ll bring to the role
- A proven experience in senior management roles within Banking or Financial Services, specifically in governance or assurance program management.
- In-depth knowledge of APRA regulatory standards (including CPS230), operational resilience principles, and governance frameworks.
- Exceptional relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills, with the proven ability to influence senior leadership and external partners.
- A strategic mindset that expertly balances risk oversight with commercial business enablement.
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Risk Management, Business, or another relevant discipline.
This role is a full time, permanent role, based at any of our head office locations.
We offer flexible work options that put our people first, working in a hybrid model with a minimum local Head Office attendance requirement determined by your Leader, to find a rhythm that works best for you and your team. We believe that coming into the office some of the time is the best way to learn, stay connected and collaborate effectively, especially for key activities like team days, 1:1s, and town halls.
So, why work with us?
- Want big impact that matters? Here, you’ll know your work directly benefits the customers and communities we all serve.
- Want to be more than just a number? Join a team that truly values you – and that gets more and more diverse, every day.

You’ll also get access to a great range of benefits, including:
- Health and wellbeing support, including discounted gym memberships, private health insurance options, and our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your immediate family members.
- Our corporate university ‘BEN U’ to take your learning to the next level.
We’re making better, bigger. And we’ll get there with you.
