Drive strategic decisions with powerful data insights at the heart of our bank.

We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. We’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.

It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.

At Bendigo Bank, our purpose is to feed into the prosperity of our customers and communities. This purpose is central to our Group Strategy, which guides how we create a positive impact and deliver sustainable outcomes. This brand-new, permanent position sits within our dynamic Group Strategy team—the function responsible for developing and monitoring the Bank's corporate strategy. This is your chance to join the team at the very heart of our organisation's future direction, contributing to work that has a real and lasting impact.

About the Role

This is a rare opportunity for a talented analyst to step into a newly created role. As our Performance Analyst, you will be instrumental in shaping our strategic direction by providing critical reporting, analysis, and data-driven insights. You will work closely with senior leaders to assess performance against our strategy, understand the underlying drivers of activity, and support the formulation of business cases for key initiatives.

You’ll get to:

  • Extract, analyse, and draw insights from diverse qualitative and quantitative data sources to inform strategic deep dives.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, including scenario analysis and business-case forecasting.
  • Translate complex analysis into contextualised insights, compelling business cases, and clear visualisations for Board and Executive-level decision-making.
  • Assist in the annual strategic planning process as required.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and curious analyst with relevant tertiary qualifications (Business, Mathematics, Commerce, Economics, IT or related discipline). While an understanding of banking and financial services is helpful, we strongly encourage applications from candidates with diverse industry backgrounds. What's most important is your analytical mindset and your ability to turn complex data into a compelling strategic narrative.

What you’ll bring:

  • A self-starter mentality with a flair for creative problem-solving and a drive to initiate change.
  • Proven expertise in building sophisticated, dynamic models (including scenario analysis, business-case forecasting, and cost-benefit valuations) to stress-test hypotheses and provide robust quantitative backing for strategic deep dives.
  • Excellent business acumen and proven analytical skills.
  • A natural talent for collaboration and enjoy working in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, adept at presenting complex information with clarity and impact.

Why Us?

You’ll be joining a small but mighty team of passionate and collaborative strategic thinkers. This is a unique opportunity to take on a highly visible role where your work will have a direct and tangible impact on executive-level decision-making and the long-term success of the Bank. If you are looking to elevate your career in a truly impactful role within the strategy space, we would love to hear from you.

This role can be based in Adelaide, Bendigo, or Melbourne locations. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, working in a hybrid model with a minimum local Head Office attendance requirement determined by your Leader, to find a rhythm that works best for you and your team. We believe that coming into the office some of the time is the best way to learn, stay connected and collaborate effectively, especially for key activities like team days, 1:1s, and town halls.

  • Want big impact that matters? Here, you’ll know your work directly benefits the customers and communities we all serve.
  • Want to be more than just a number? Join a team that truly values you – and that gets more and more diverse every day.
  • Want career opportunity AND flexibility? Achieve both here, where we know that balance and progression go hand in hand.

You’ll also get access to a great range of benefits, including:

  • Hybrid work? Flexible hours? A compressed work week? Our flexible work options are designed to suit your life.
  • Health and wellbeing support, including discounted gym memberships, private health insurance options, and our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your immediate family members.

We’re making better, bigger. And we’ll get there with you.

Could you be our new Group Strategy Performance Analyst? Now’s the time to set your sights higher – on the future you deserve.

Applications close Friday 16 October. Please note shortlisting and interviews may take place prior to the advertised close date, so don't delay: apply now!

At Bendigo and Adelaide Bank we believe a diverse workforce supported by an inclusive culture is central to our success and we actively encourage applications from those who bring diversity of thought to our business. We support candidate requests for adjustment to accommodate an illness, injury, or disability to equitably participate in the selection process.
