Come and be part of a landmark transformation of our Financial Crime & Fraud Operations (FCFO). As we build a best-in-class financial crime first line accountability, this function is responsible for the operational management of BEN’s financial crime controls across AML, sanctions, fraud and scams. It will deliver investigation capability, detection systems, financial crime intelligence, regulatory reporting governance and operational support to identify, prevent and respond to financial crime risks impacting BEN.
About the opportunity
Strategy & Delivery forms part of FCFO Business Services and is responsible for driving the strategic agenda, operational performance, governance and transformation initiatives across FCFO. The function supports the delivery of FCFO priorities strategic planning, performance management operating model development, business improvement and enterprise change initiatives.
As part of our landmark transformation, we are seeking a Senior Manager, Strategy & Delivery.
Operating as a senior individual contributor and reporting to the Head of FCFO Business Services, you will play a critical role in supporting the protection of BEN from regulatory, reputational and financial crime risks through the delivery of strategic initiatives, operational performance uplift and business transformation across FCFO.
Working across FCFO, Financial Crime Risk (FCR), Technology and key business stakeholders, you will help shape the future direction of FCFO by driving strategic priorities, operational improvement and transformational change across the function.
In particular you will get to:
- Drive the execution of the FCFO strategic roadmap and key transformation initiatives that strengthen operational performance, customer outcomes and risk management
- Partner with FCFO leaders, Financial Crime Risk, Technology and business stakeholders to deliver strategic priorities and support enterprise change.
- Develop performance insights, management reporting, governance insights and performance frameworks that support effective decision making across FCFO.
- Identify and deliver opportunities to improve processes, technology, workflow efficiency and service delivery outcomes.
- Support the evolution of FCFO operating models, delivery frameworks and performance measures to enhance capability and effectiveness.
- Provide leadership through influence, building alignment across stakeholders and driving outcomes in a complex and evolving environment.
This is a permanent full-time position ideally located in Melbourne or Adelaide but for an outstanding candidate other locations may be considered.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Significant experience in strategy execution, transformation delivery and operational improvement within financial crime, risk, operations or complex financial services environments.
- Strong understanding of financial crime operations, operating models, governance frameworks and performance management practices.
- Demonstrated experience operating as a senior individual contributor, leading complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups across business, risk and technology functions.
- Exceptional communication, engagement and storytelling capability with the ability to influence senior leaders and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Experience developing executive reporting business insights, performance metrics and governance materials to support strategic decision making.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to translate strategy into practical and measurable outcomes.
- Experience supporting large scale transformation, operating model redesign or regulatory uplift programs within highly regulated environments.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline.
- Financial Crime Industry qualifications such as ACAMS or AFCS would be highly regarded.
