About the role

We have two Senior Finance Manager - Investment Development opportunities, each with a different focus.

One Senior Finance Manager will lead end-to-end commercial partnering across the Bank to evaluate broader economic and financial impacts and build robust, compelling business cases. You will collaborate directly with business units from initial concept through to execution, delivering high-quality, actionable commercial finance advisory to inform strategic planning and major investment decisions.

You will hold accountability for building, reviewing, and stress-testing complex financial models, maintaining meticulous governance over key assumptions, data integrity, and scenario analysis. Additionally, you will drive the integration of strategic financial insights into Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and executive reporting, ensuring senior leaders have the clear commercial clarity required to steer performance.

Our other Senior Finance Manager will be instrumental in driving value optimisation and governance across the Bank’s major investment portfolio. You will take a strategic lead in identifying and analysing value extraction opportunities relating to organisational capacity, prioritisation, and the Bank’s overall investment slate.

You will spearhead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of comprehensive benefits tracking frameworks and realisation methodologies across all strategic initiatives. By embedding rigorous benefits management practices across the enterprise, your insights will directly safeguard project value, optimise capital allocation, and drive Group Return on Equity (ROE) enhancements.

Both roles are full time, permanent and preferably based in Melbourne or Bendigo.

What you’ll bring to the role

You are a seasoned and strategic finance leader with extensive experience in corporate finance and investment evaluation.  To be successful, you will have:

• Over 10 years of experience in commercial finance, strategic business partnering, investment banking, corporate finance, or a similar field.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale capital or investment portfolios and a deep understanding of portfolio management.
• Advanced financial modelling and investment evaluation capabilities, including project finance and valuation models.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, well-reasoned recommendations for senior leaders.
• Revenue and capital experience in the banking environment is highly desirable.
