In a banking landscape that is increasingly transactional, we choose to be different. At Bendigo Bank, we are proud to be one of Australia’s most innovative and trusted banks. We believe that a bank should have its customers' backs, and our core purpose is simple yet profound: to feed into prosperity, not off it. As we charge toward our Strategy 2030 vision to be Australia’s bank of choice, we are looking for an extraordinary leader to join us on our mission.

As the Performance & Leadership Coach within Agribusiness & Business Bank division, you will occupy a highly influential, senior position, partnering directly with our leaders to co-create a high-performance culture. You are not just teaching frameworks; you are actively building the leadership capability of our key decision-makers so they can successfully lead, coach, and inspire their own frontline teams.

The Mission

You will work side-by-side with our leaders, challenging their current approach, sharpening their coaching skills, and helping them build stronger, more capable teams. If you are a seasoned professional who knows how to coach leaders and has the confidence to guide senior managers, this is where you can make a real difference.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Partner to Build Leadership Capability: Work closely with our leaders as a trusted advisor, using coaching models (like GROW) and internal leadership tools to uplift their strategic leadership and coaching skills.
  • Act as an Expert Sounding Board: Challenge the status quo with constructive coaching, helping leaders identify blind spots and sharpen their leadership skills.
  • Embed Practical Coaching: Focus on hands-on coaching and capability development rather than classroom training, ensuring leaders have the skills to motivate and guide their frontline staff.
  • Drive Strategy through Performance: Align leadership behaviours with our core values, helping leaders translate business strategy into clear, day-to-day actions for their teams.

What You Bring

This is a highly visible role that requires you to establish immediate trust with experienced senior leaders. You must bring:

  • Senior Leader Gravitas & Influence: The confidence and credibility to challenge established mindsets, facilitate courageous development conversations, and guide senior leadership behaviours.
  • Proven Coaching Capability: Genuine expertise in leadership development, senior leadership coaching, and behavioural change, with a track record of elevating team performance.
  • Commercial Banking Acumen: A strong understanding of Business or Agribusiness Banking environments, allowing you to connect coaching directly to business outcomes.
  • A Collaborative, Coaching Approach: A relationship-driven style that relies on active listening, expert questioning, and constructive, action-oriented feedback.

What we offer you

  • A Culture of Impact: Work for an organisation where your decisions directly contribute to the financial well-being of families, businesses, and communities.
  • Genuine Flexibility: A hybrid working model based out of Corporate hub, designed to support your work-life balance.
  • Career Progression: Access to comprehensive professional development programs and opportunities to fast-track your executive career.
  • Exciting Benefits: Highly competitive salary package, performance-based incentives, and staff banking discounts.
