About the team
The Risk and Compliance (R&C) function has responsibility for enabling the Group to manage the risks associated with their respective area of focus in line with the Group’s risk appetite. In that support, the R&C function will enable the success of the business by instilling a culture of risk management as a core part of how we support our customers and ensure that we have the appropriate processes and practices to meet our compliance obligations.
About the role
As Operational Risk Manager, reporting to Senior Manager Risk and Compliance, you are part of 1st Line of Accountability (1LoA) Risk team responsible for key matters in relation to implementing and managing the operational risk framework for the Digital Banking Portfolio. This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity.
You’ll get to:
- Perform all tasks in line with the Risk Management Framework and proactively monitor and asses the risk environment and recommend areas for improvement
- Facilitate and organise key actions in relation to the Digital Divisional Risk Committee meetings inc. preparing meeting agendas and committee packs, minutes, circulate action items and documents and maintain action register
- Facilitate and deliver Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA) including for change projects, to support effective risk management.
- Promote a strong risk and compliance culture with stakeholders (through education, support and awareness).
- Collaborate with members of the 1LoA Risk teams, Centres of Expertise, and 2nd line of Accountability (2LoA) stakeholders, including Group Compliance and Group Operational Risk to enhance the further development of a strong risk and compliance culture; and 3rd Line of Accountability (3LoA).
This a 12-month fixed term opportunity to be located at one of our corporate offices ideally in Adelaide, Melbourne, Bendigo, Sydney, Brisbane
About you
To be successful you will have
- Understanding and practical working knowledge of Operational and Technology Risk Frameworks is highly desirable.
- Financial product, digital/IT or product knowledge highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with high attention to detail, ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to support, advise and influence a broad range of stakeholders
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a motivated and adaptable disposition
- Tertiary qualifications in Banking, Finance or Business-related fields desirable
