Turn Vision into Reality: Lead the Execution of our Bold 2030 Strategy.

We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. Come and join the better big bank where we’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.

It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.

Are you ready to be at the heart of change at Bendigo Bank? We have a thrilling greenfield opportunity to join Bendigo Bank as our Head of Enterprise Execution & Performance within the Group Transformation Office. This is a pivotal new role designed to strengthen execution of our 2030 Group Strategy and our bold vision to become Australia’s most innovative bank. As we embark on a significant phase of growth and change, our enterprise transformation is anchored by five core pillars: making life easy with digital, operating simply and efficiently, deepening customer relationships, setting the benchmark for trust and societal impact, and reinventing banking for a new generation with Up. If you are passionate about driving enterprise-wide change and seeing visionary strategies come to life, this is the perfect career steppingstone into a highly impactful leadership position!

In this hands-on role, you will be the driving force behind our strategic execution and performance tracking across the enterprise. You will take ownership of translating our strategic vision into actionable initiatives, establishing robust frameworks to monitor performance milestones, and ensuring our transformation objectives are met with precision and excellence. A uniquely exciting aspect of this greenfield opportunity is that you will be building and leading a small, high-performing team from the ground up. Together, you will provide the critical insights and execution rigor needed to keep our 2030 strategy accelerating forward during this monumental period of growth.

To thrive in this role, you will be a practical execution expert who demonstrates strong thought leadership and unparalleled strategic acumen. Because you will be working extensively with our Executive Leadership Team, you must possess substantial executive presence and the proven ability to influence, challenge, and partner effectively at the highest levels of the business. We are looking for an experienced leader who has successfully navigated complex, large-scale transformations in an organisation of similar size and complexity, or larger. While a background in banking or financial services would be beneficial, it is not required—we highly value the diverse perspectives and proven execution capability you bring to the table.

You will be joining a team that is open, fluid, and operates at a fast pace. A highly collaborative and dynamic group, constantly bouncing ideas off each other to find the best path forward. We believe in supporting each other to achieve great outcomes and fostering an environment where everyone can contribute and grow.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity that can be based in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane, or Bendigo. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, working in a hybrid model with a minimum local Head Office attendance requirement determined by your Leader, to find a rhythm that works best for you and your team. We believe that coming into the office some of the time is the best way to learn, stay connected and collaborate effectively, especially for key activities like team days, 1:1s, and town halls.

If you are ready to take on a strategic leadership role and help shape the future of a truly purpose-driven organisation, we would love to hear from you.

So, why work with us?

  • Want big impact that matters? Here, you’ll know your work directly benefits the customers and communities we all serve.
  • Want to be more than just a number? Join a team that truly values you – and that gets more and more diverse every day.
  • Want career opportunity AND flexibility? Achieve both here, where we know that balance and progression go hand in hand.

You’ll also get access to a great range of benefits, including:

  • Hybrid work? Flexible hours? A compressed work week? Our flexible work options are designed to suit your life.
  • Health and wellbeing support, including discounted gym memberships, private health insurance options, and our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your immediate family members.

We’re making better, bigger. And we’ll get there with you.

If you are ready to take on a new challenge and build something lasting, we encourage you to apply and join us on our journey. Now’s the time to set your sights higher – on the future you deserve. Apply now! Applications close 26 May.

At Bendigo Bank we believe a diverse workforce supported by an inclusive culture is central to our success and we actively encourage applications from those who bring diversity of thought to our business. We support candidate requests for adjustment to accommodate an illness, injury, or disability to equitably participate in the selection process.
