Architect the future of enterprise delivery and drive our 2030 transformation
We’ve never been ‘just a bank’. Just like you should never be ‘just an employee’. Come and join the better big bank where we’re united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we’re making it happen.
It starts here. With Bendigo Bank… and you.
At Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, we are driven by our purpose of feeding into the prosperity of our customers and communities, not off them. We are currently embarking on a significant period of growth and transformation, guided by our 2030 Group Strategy and a bold vision to become Australia’s most innovative bank. This strategy is anchored by five core pillars: making life easy with digital, operating simply and efficiently, deepening customer relationships, setting the benchmark for trust and societal impact, and reinventing banking for a new generation with Up.
A truly career-defining opportunity has arisen to join our Group Transformation Office in the newly created role of Head of Enterprise Delivery Practices. Reporting directly to the Group Transformation Officer, you will be entrusted with the exciting and significant mandate to re-design, re-build, and further technology-enable our entire Delivery Practice function spanning project and change management for the whole bank. This is a rare chance to make your mark, shaping the future of delivery and playing a critical leadership role in enabling the delivery of our 2030 strategy.
As the Head of Enterprise Delivery Practices, you’ll get to:
- Develop the vision and strategy for our project and change management disciplines, fostering a high-performance culture, and building deep succession strength through clear career pathways for our people.
- Establish and embed new, methodology-agnostic delivery standards and practices group-wide, ensuring they align with our risk, compliance, and financial management frameworks.
- Champion the adoption of leading, AI-enabled project and change management practices and tooling to drive efficiency and innovation across the enterprise.
- Act as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to Executive and General Manager level stakeholders, ensuring our most critical strategic priorities are resourced with the most capable professionals.
- Provide credible, independent challenge on portfolio prioritisation, and assuring the feasibility and successful outcomes of strategic initiatives.
This is a pivotal leadership position that requires an individual with extensive, demonstrated experience who has navigated the complexities of an organisation of a similar size and scale, ideally within the Banking or Financial Services industry.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Extensive senior leadership experience in successfully running large-scale project and/or change delivery functions (portfolios of 50+ FTE) within a complex, regulated environment.
- Credibility and deep expertise across both project management and change management disciplines, with the ability to command the respect of senior practitioners in both fields.
- A strong track record of developing, uplifting, and recruiting for top-tier delivery talent to build deep bench strength and capability.
- A strategic and commercially astute mindset, with exceptional stakeholder management skills and comfort operating at the executive level.
- Practical, hands-on experience driving technology-enabled practice change, including modern AI-enabled delivery practices and tooling.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity that can be based in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, or Bendigo. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, working in a hybrid model with a minimum local Head Office attendance requirement determined by your Leader, to find a rhythm that works best for you and your team. We believe that coming into the office some of the time is the best way to learn, stay connected and collaborate effectively, especially for key activities like team days, 1:1s, and town halls.
You will be joining a team that is open, fluid, and operates at a fast pace. We are a highly collaborative and dynamic group, constantly bouncing ideas off each other to find the best path forward and we believe in supporting each other to achieve great outcomes in an environment where everyone can contribute and grow.
If you are a visionary delivery leader ready to take on a transformative challenge, this is an exceptional opportunity to shape the future of a leading Australian bank.
