At Bendigo Bank, we are on an inspiring journey. As Australia’s better big bank and the only ASX 100 bank headquartered in regional Australia, our purpose is simple yet profound: to feed into the prosperity of our customers and communities, not off them.

With more than 165 years of heritage, we combine the scale and capability of a major Australian financial institution with the genuine heart, ethics, and community focus we are renowned for. Over $416 million has been reinvested directly into grassroots communities through our unique Community Bank network—proving every single day that commercial success and social impact go hand-in-hand.

The Opportunity

As we accelerate our 2030 Strategy, we are focused on deepening customer relationships, making life easy with digital, and operating simply and efficiently.

In our Business & Agribusiness division, we recognise that primary operating accounts, merchant services, and innovative cash-flow solutions sit at the very heart of sustainable business growth. When we solve a business owner’s operational friction and optimise their working capital, we empower regional enterprises, family farms, and local commercial engines to thrive.

As our Channel Manager – Transaction Banking, you will be the specialist sales catalyst driving liquidity growth, capability uplift, and market share across your regional territory.

How You’ll Deliver Impact

  • Lead Complex Client Solutions: Join frontline bankers on joint discovery meetings with corporate decision-makers (CEOs, CFOs, Financial Controllers, and Business Owners), structuring bespoke transactional, liquidity, and payment flows that solve operational pain points.
  • Maximise Strategic Partnerships: Drive conversion and seamless referral handoffs for market-leading third-party payment and merchant partners.
  • Champion Regional Connections: Actively represent Bendigo Bank at local business chambers, industry associations, and regional commercial forums, expanding our market footprint and referral networks.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven Sector Expertise: A successful track record in transaction banking, liquidity management, working capital solutions, merchant acquiring, or commercial financial services business development.
  • Frontline Coaching & Joint-Calling Acumen: Demonstrated capability joint-calling with relationship managers, pitching to C-suite decision-makers, and running engaging capability workshops for frontline teams.
  • Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong capability in analysing commercial balance sheets, cash-flow drivers, operating cycles, and complex payment ecosystems.
  • Collaborative Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder influence skills with the ability to inspire confidence across regional and specialist teams.
  • Aptitude for Digital & Innovation: High digital literacy and enthusiasm for modern digital payment trends, APIs, and business platforms.
