Virtual Banking is transforming the way we engage with internal & external customers through digital and phone in Retail Banking. It is responsible for ensuring compliance, ongoing health, and proactive growth of customers.

 

As a Personal Banker, you will be predominantly focused on inbound and outbound calling activities and any personal lending opportunities that are identified through such calls. Maintenance activities include campaign management, welcome calls, and nurturing opportunities. You will play an integral role in connecting with our internal new and existing customers displaying our employee value proposition. You will also be cross-skilled with the Retail Virtual Lending teams as both focus on growth and internal & external customer engagement through needs-based sales conversations.

 

In this dynamic and high-impact role, you’ll make your mark by:   

  • Identify and support customer financial goals by conducting virtual consultations to explore their needs and recommend suitable banking products.
  • Strengthen long-term customer relationships by streamlining our engagement efforts and strategic campaign delivery.
  • Ensure a seamless customer experience by balancing lender workloads and assigning leads to the best-positioned team members for a prompt response.
  • Creating personal loan approvals, direct clients to specialists, and focus on achieving financial goals to help the Bank grow.
  • Ability to optimize lead distribution processes to support business expansion and maximize conversion rates
  • Advanced technology and digital capabilities
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment

 

 

What you’ll bring to the role  

To succeed in this role, you’ll consistently deliver exceptional customer service. We’d love you to have:  

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong understanding of the Bank’s lending products, digital and self-service offerings, policies, and regulations
  • Extensive customer service experience
  • Ability to build relationships and rapport with key community stakeholders
  • Ability to adapt to and accept change
  • Proven relationship building skills to achieve financial outcomes
  • Understand financials and performance of the business
  • Lending Experience Is preferable – Lending DLA required with a strong financial acumen in Personal Loans and Credit Cards
  • FSRA Accreditation T2 – Deposit Taking & Non-Cash Payment Facilities & General Insurance

 

We have 3 permanent full-time roles   The Retail Virtual Banking opening hours are Monday – Friday, 0900 – 1830 (AEST). You will be required to work a rotating roster within these opening hours.
