About the Team
The Risk and Compliance (R&C) function has responsibility for enabling the Group to manage risks associated with their respective area of focus, in line with the Group’s risk appetite. In that support, the R&C function will enable the success of the business by instilling a culture of risk management as a core part of how we support our customers and ensure that we have the appropriate processes and practices to meet our compliance obligations.
About the role
As Operational Risk Manager Technology, reporting to Senior Manager Risk and Compliance, you are a key member of the 1LOA Risk team and responsible for key matters in relations to implementing and managing the risk and compliance framework within the technology portfolio.
You’ll get to:
- Perform all tasks in line with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Facilitate and deliver Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA) including for change projects, to support effective risk management.
- Facilitate and/or participate in the review of treatment plans, scenario analysis, root cause analysis and control validations.
- SME support to the Events Management team as and when required.
- Support the Head of and/or Senior Manager Risk & Compliance with any risk activity relevant for the division.
- Promote a strong risk and compliance culture with stakeholders (through education, support and awareness).
- Collaborate with members of the 1st Line of Accountability(1LoA) Risk teams, Centres of Expertise, and 2nd line of Accountability stakeholders, including Group Compliance and Group Operational Risk to enhance the further development of a strong risk and compliance culture.
This a permanent opportunity to be located at one of our corporate offices i.e. Bendigo, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane. We offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement with a requirement you attend the office a minimum 2 days per week.
About you
To be successful you will have
- Experience in Operational Risk Management (Line 1 or 2) Banking and Financial Services with a focus on Technology
- Experience in Technology Risk Management or Audit with an understanding of technology controls and of various technologies including mainframe, and midrange systems, cloud service and emerging technologies
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and also in a collaborative manner with the ability to support, advise and influence a broad range of stakeholders
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a motivated and adaptable disposition
- Tertiary qualifications within relevant area including Business, Commerce, IT highly desirable
- Desirable industry certifications (e.g. CISA, CRISC, COBIT Foundation etc.) or willingness to attain
